IP - Impulse Voltage Test System


Impulse voltage test systems (IP) are used for impulse voltage testing of transformers, cables, gas-insulated switchgears (GIS), arresters, and other high-voltage devices. The test systems generate lightning impulse voltage (LI, 1.2/50 µs), chopping lightning impulse voltages (LIC, front time 1.2 µs, front, crest or tail chopped), and switching impulse voltage (SI, 250/2500 µs) in accordance with IEC 60060-1 as well as IEC 60076-3 for transformers, and IEC 62067, 60840 und 60502-2 for cables).

Key features
» Features a compact design to save space in the test bay
» Generates impulses with a low level of overshoot due to the low self-inductance of the impulse voltage test system
» Option of using the system to generate impulse currents
» Configuration of the generator for the G product line saves time due to walk-in accessibility and storage of the resistances inside the generator
» More possibilities to save space and time when used in combination with the Connection Point
