WV Field Transformer Test Systems

The test system for power transformers WV is used for on-site transformer testing. It enables induced AC voltage tests, measurement of no-load currents and losses, short-circuit impedance and short-circuit loss measurements, as well as heating and special tests according to international standard IEC 60076, parts 1 to 3. The powerful and converter-based test system generates a precise testing voltage with low total harmonic distortion (THD) and partial discharge (PD) level.

Key features
» THD < 5 %
» PD noise level < 10 pC
» Free adjustable frequency 40 Hz to 200 Hz
» Modular design allows future expansion
» Highly accurate and calibrated power loss measurement - no determination of final measurement uncertainty necessary
» Low investment and life-cycle costs
» Low noise emission

Application
•Induced AC voltage test
•Measurement of no-load loss and current
•Measurement of short-circuit impedance and load loss
•Temperature-rise test
•Special tests
•The modular design allows two or more test systems to be connected in parallel making it possible to test even largest power transformers.
